How to Care For Your Blonde Locks

How to Care For Your Blonde Locks

Look after your blonde locks with the right shampoo, conditioner, and treatments. Whether you have a salon blonde, natural blonde, or white to grey locks, make the most of your beautiful colour by looking after it.

Tip 1. Read the labels

There are a lot of labels for blonde hair, and it's important to know where to look. Try avoiding products with sulphate, or SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate) and SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulphate). While they're great for creating the foam used to lather your hair, these strip the hair of its moisture which doesn't help in keeping it nourished!

All of our shampoo & conditioners are sulphate free and hydrating. By incorporating natural ingredients, you can rest in knowing that your hair is being treated with high quality products.

Tip 2. Purple Shampoo & Conditioner

Use purple shampoo & conditioner, such as our Blonde Shampoo & Conditioner Refills. This solution maintains colour by reducing brassiness and yellow tones often appearing in coloured hair. It's sulphate free, and highly hydrating.

Apply a generous amount of purple shampoo onto wet hair and lather. Rinse and repeat.

Next, apply conditioner for blonde hair to clean, wet hair. Rinse thoroughly.

Our refill packs provide the perfect sustainable and economic solution when paired with our Starter Packs.

Tip 3. Keep Your Hair Out of the Sun

I know, the sun is wonderful and it's unfortunate to avoid. Too much exposure to the sun's UV rays can damaging your hair and develop a brassy colour that appears orange.

But don't let this stop you from basking in the sun. Simply bring a stylish hat to make it more enjoyable!

Tip 4. Apply a Blonde Treatment hair mask

It's important to keep your hair hydrated, so pairing your shampoo & conditioner with a hair mask is a great way to foster shine to your hair and keep split ends at bay. Our Blonde Treatment hair mask is perfect for keeping your hair hydrated, and maintaining your blonde locks.

Apply a 20-50 cent piece size (depending on your hair length), and apply to clean, wet hair. Leave for 1-3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

Tip 5. Visit Your Local Hairdressers

Pair of hands trimming hair

Oh yes, getting the simple trim does a lot for your hair. Trimming your hair is like pruning a plant. Once the split ends are trimmed, there's more moisture for the rest of your healthy hair.

Depending on the length of your hair, the dead ends could be a few years old!

To keep your hair looking healthy, we recommend visiting your local hairdressers every 6-8 weeks.
